Frequently asked

Can I switch plans anytime?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade whenever you want. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to new features. When you downgrade, your current plan stays active until the end of your billing period.

What's the difference between Rare and Epic?

Rare gives you print-ready export (300 DPI PDF), Google sync, 100 AI credits, and 2-player playtesting. Epic adds CMYK PDF, TheGameCrafter direct upload, real-time co-editing, 8-player playtesting, and 5x the AI credits.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes, and you save up to 37%. Toggle between monthly and annual pricing at the top of this page. Annual plans are billed as a single payment once per year.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account page and your plan stays active until the end of the billing period. No phone calls, no "are you sure" loops, no clawing back your projects.

Do you offer refunds?

Payments are generally non-refundable, but exceptions exist. If you were charged after cancellation due to a billing error, or if a material service disruption blocks paid features for an extended period, reach out via our contact page and we will review your request in good faith. EU/EEA residents have a 14-day right of withdrawal on Rare subscriptions — see our terms for details.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards via Stripe, handled through Clerk Billing. Apple Pay and Google Pay also work on supported devices. We never see or store your card details.

Do you offer team or studio pricing?

Not as a formal plan yet. Epic already includes real-time collaboration for co-designers, which covers most small studios. If you have something bigger in mind, reach out via our contact page and we will figure it out together.

Is there an educator or non-profit discount?

We want to support classrooms and non-profits using Chitmunk. We do not have a published discount yet — send us a note via our contact page with what you are working on and we will sort something out.

What happens after the 7-day Rare trial?

Your trial drops you back to Common — every design tool still works, your projects stay, and exports go to 150 DPI for home prototyping. Upgrade when your game is ready to print.

Do I need a paid plan to playtest?

No. Every account includes the solo playtest simulator and Balance Lab for free. Rare adds 2-player multiplayer so you can test with a friend. Epic supports up to 8 players.

Do unused AI credits roll over?

No — credits do not roll over month-to-month. Each billing cycle starts you fresh: 10 credits on Common, 100 on Rare, 500 on Epic. Generate freely; next month resets the meter.

What counts as an AI illustration?

One illustration equals one card-sized image. Smaller images cost fewer credits; larger images cost more. You can batch-generate art for an entire deck at once.
