Everything you need to create TTRPG cards

Spell & Item Cards

Design spell cards with name, level, school, range, components, and description. Item cards with stats, rarity, and effects. One template handles your entire spellbook or inventory.

📊

CSV Campaign Binding

Import your campaign spreadsheet. {{Spell Name}}, {{Level}}, {{School}} auto-fill from your data. One template, every card unique.

🧙

NPC & Encounter Decks

Create NPC cards with portraits, stats, and personality traits. Build encounter decks with difficulty ratings and loot tables. Pull everything from a single spreadsheet.

⚔️

275K+ Fantasy Icons

Search Iconify's massive icon library for swords, shields, potions, scrolls, and every fantasy symbol imaginable. Drag icons straight onto your card designs.

🔍

Conditional Card Types

Show fire damage on fire spells, hide components on cantrips. Conditional visibility logic makes one template handle all card types—spells, items, monsters, and more.

Print for Game Night

Export PNGs, print-at-home 9-up PDFs, or order professional prints. Your custom cards, at the table by next session.

How It Works

From spreadsheet to game night in three steps

Build your card template

Design your layout with text, icons, and stat blocks on the visual canvas. Start from a template or build from scratch. No code, no design degree required.

Connect your campaign data

Link a CSV or Google Sheet with your spells, items, or NPCs. Each row becomes a unique card—names, stats, abilities, and art all populate automatically.

Print for game night

Export print-ready PNGs, print-at-home PDFs, or Tabletop Simulator files. Your custom cards, shuffled and ready for the table.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Can I make a deck for each class — wizard, cleric, paladin?

Yes. Put every spell in a CSV with a {{Class}} column, design one spell-card template, and filter the export by class. One template generates a wizard deck of 200+ spells and a cleric deck of 80 from the same file.

Does Chitmunk work with D&D 5e content?

Chitmunk is system-agnostic — it imports whatever's in your spreadsheet. 5e fits naturally (spell level, school, components, range, duration), but so do PF2e, OSR retroclones, Daggerheart, and homebrew systems. Bring your own SRD-safe content; Chitmunk doesn't ship D&D text.

How do I make NPC and monster stat cards?

Same pattern as spells. CSV columns for name, AC, HP, speed, ability scores, actions. Conditional visibility hides legendary actions on rats and shows them on dragons. Drop a portrait column and bind images per row for instant NPC art.

Can I share my homebrew cards with my players?

Yes. Export PNGs of the spells they know and send them in Discord. Or export a 9-up PDF for the table. On Epic, cloud sharing lets your party view the deck without an account. Your homebrew, your players, your call.

What about loot, item, and magic-item cards?

Same workflow. One item-card template with name, rarity, attunement, description. Use a {{Rarity}} column to color-code borders — green for uncommon, purple for legendary. Hand them to the player when the chest opens. They love it.

Can I print my cards at home before game night?

Yes. Common tier exports a 9-up PDF for home printers — cut along the guides on cardstock and you have a stack of cards by Friday. Rare and Epic unlock 300 DPI prints and direct TheGameCrafter upload for nicer pro-printed decks.
